Insights Manager
The Insights Manager at AllPoints Fibre (APFN) combines data expertise, industry knowledge, and strategic thinking to inform business decisions, optimise performance, and uncover growth opportunities.
Joining our commercial team and reporting into our Commercial Strategy, Planning and Trading Director, this role bridges the gap between data and business strategy, ensuring the company stays competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
We offer a hybrid working environment and can accommodate a 4 day working week in this role. We hope applicants will be open to spending 1-2 days a week in our Reading office.
The role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills along with a deep understanding of commercial trading principles, market dynamics, pricing strategies, and financial metrics.
More about what you will be doing...
This role plays is pivotal in driving the commercial success of our full fibre products and services. You will be responsible for interpreting data to provide meaningful insight which supports business strategy to maximize revenue, optimize pricing, and enhance profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of the telecommunications market, excellent analytical skills, the ability to communicate with impact and collaborate effectively across multiple departments and external customers.
Providing performance Insights to support Business strategies:
- Support the Data team to create and implement regular reports and dashboards to track commercial and operational KPIs, market penetration, and the overall business performance,
- Owner of Commercial data requests & prioritisation by working with the wider commercial team to understand holistic data requirements & the business impact.
- Analyse the impact of Sales & marketing campaigns, programme implementation, product, pricing & incentives on revenue, cost, margin & CX metrics.
- Identify patterns, correlations, and trends to highlight risks & opportunities against the business plan and drive corrective action.
Forecasting & predictive modelling:
- Develop forecasting models to predict future trends and financial performance.
- Create customer and regional segmentation insights to support targeting key customer groups aligned to APFN propositions and values
- Identify areas for optimization based on demand analysis and regional growth potential.
- Offer data-driven recommendations on business development, pricing, product offerings, and customer retention strategies.
Commercial definitions and methodologies:
- Working across relevant internal functions and with external partners to standardise and align performance definitions and methodologies
About you...
- Experience in a commercial or Customer insights role within the telecommunications, broadband, or technology sector. Experience in full-fibre or high-speed internet services is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Deep understanding of commercial trading principles, market dynamics, pricing strategies, and financial metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
