Programme Delivery Manager
At AllPoints Fibre the Programme Delivery Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of key projects critical for the success of aquila and APFN. The Programme Delivery Manager will have visibility of and responsibility for a range of projects – from new product features, network integrations and service upgrades. They will work with external suppliers internal technical teams and our Commercial team to ensure the projects are delivered as expected, to time and budget. The role requires an experienced programme manager who can relate with customers, understand their requirements and ensure APFN supports them in achieving their goals.
The Programme Delivery Manager will be required to manage a complex set of deliverables, prioritisations and resource management in being successful.
What you will be doing:
The Programme Delivery Manager will interface with internal customers (usually the Commercial and Product teams) and may on occasion support in discussions with external Customers and Partners. They will be responsible for defining and successful delivery of the projects and programmes.
Some of the main responsibilities and duties are:
- Leading the end to end delivery of cross functional projects and programmes across the APFN business.
- An expert on the aquila Platform from both a technical and business process perspective
- Manage project scoping and discovery phases to ensure clarity on the requirements and success criteria.
- Build and develop the project planning and communication of the plan. This could be across both aspects of agile and waterfall.
- Manage external teams and contracted deliverables to ensure the parallel success of multiple delivery workstreams, ie many projects at once
- Manage internal architecture, design and (some) development teams to ensure quality and alignment to technical strategy
- Lead Project Delivery teams to ensure the alignment of risks and dependencies between projects.
- Ensure clear communication, so that the APFN organisation is clear on expectations, timelines and launch date
The Programme Delivery Manager will have the ability to both manage people directly and through matrix management, leading large and broad cross functional teams to ensure delivery success and successful acceptance and running into Operations.
About you:
You will have experience in programme or project delivery within the telecommunications industry with a strong understanding of telecom technologies and products (FTTP, Ethernet) You'll have a proven track record of delivering large-scale, multi-vendor programmes with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You will bring a strong level of proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Clarity PPM).
