Account Manager
We’re looking for highly experienced and results driven Sales Account Manager to become a key player in our Commercial Team. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love building meaningful partnerships, and want to make a real impact in the telecoms space—this is your opportunity.
You will come with a deep understanding of voice and data wholesale markets, established industry relationships, and a consistent track record of achieving revenue targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage and grow high-value accounts.
This role joins an established account management team and reports directly to the Sales Director. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll take ownership of strategic relationships across the wholesale telecoms and fibre partner landscape. You’ll be at the forefront of driving growth, shaping partner success, and delivering an exceptional experience through our cutting-edge wholesale platform, aquila.
What you will be doing:
- Account Ownership: Manage a portfolio of wholesale carriers, service providers, and channel partners, acting as their trusted advisor and day-to-day contact.
- Strategic Growth: Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across voice, data, IP transit, and fibre services.
- Partner Success: Develop and execute tailored account plans aligned with partner goals and company strategy.
- Performance Monitoring: Track account usage, service delivery, and trends to identify optimisation and upsell opportunities.
- Commercial Leadership: Drive contract negotiations, Identify pricing strategies, and lead business reviews to drive mutual growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Delivery, Engineering, Marketing, and Support teams to resolve issues and enhance partner experience.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategy.
- Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate records of interactions, opportunities, and risks using CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), and provide regular performance updates to senior leadership.
About you:
- Experience: Experience in sales/account management within the wholesale telecoms, fibre, or B2B technology sectors.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of global voice and data markets, interconnects, bandwidth sales, and fibre infrastructure.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding multimillion-pound sales targets.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercial Insight: Proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities and aligning them with strategic goals.
- Technical Familiarity: Understanding of telecoms technologies such as IP, MPLS, SD-WAN, and fibre networks.
- Organisational Skills: Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Tools Proficiency: Skilled in CRM systems, Excel, and data-driven account planning.
