What you will be doing:

As a Test Engineer at Allpoints Fibre Network, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and integrity of APFN’s Broadband Network Infrastructure. Reporting to the Test & Environments Manager, you will be responsible for executing test sets, exploring defects, completing end-to-end functionality tests, and working closely with various teams to deliver high-quality Order Management BSS Systems. 

The key responsibilities will include:

Test Strategy and Execution:

• Collaborating with the Test Team to develop and implement test strategies for new products and functionality, upgrades, and changes.
• Executing functional, non-functional, integration, and performance tests on network systems and platforms.
• Developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts to ensure efficient
  testing processes.
• Accurately documenting test cases, results, and defects, and communicating
  findings to relevant stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Working closely with the Delivery/ Development, Network Operations, and Quality
  Assurance teams to align on testing activities and timelines. Collaborating with development, network operations, and QA teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
• Communicating test progress, risks, and issues to the Test Lead and other stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

• Identifying opportunities for process improvement within testing activities.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to network testing and automation.
• Contributing to the automation of testing processes to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Working closely with Test team, developers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing activities and timelines.
• Communicating test progress, risks, and issues to the Test team in a clear and timely manner.

Your Skills:

• Experience in Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Experience in testing I.T, Order Management BSS Systems, along with some OSS experience, preferably in the telecoms broadband sector.
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Experience of using Jira and Confluence.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant industry experience.
