Marketing and Events Executive

Role Overview
We’re on the lookout for a Marketing & Events Executive to join our growing team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a passion for marketing and events to gain hands-on experience in both areas. You’ll help us bring our brand to life through the many events we run each year – from industry exhibitions and customer showcases to internal celebrations and partner meetups – while also supporting a wide range of marketing activity that spans digital, brand, content, and go-to-market campaigns.
No two days will be the same, and that’s exactly the point. This role is designed to give you solid grounding across multiple marketing disciplines, with the chance to get stuck into a variety of projects and gradually build your skills and specialisms. It’s the perfect springboard for a career in either marketing or events.
Who you’ll be working with
You’ll be part of a supportive and ambitious marketing team, reporting into the Head of Brand and Marketing and working closely with our:
- Go-to-Market Manager
- Senior Content Manager
- Digital Marketing Lead
You’ll also collaborate with colleagues from across the business – including sales, product, operations and exec – and liaise with agencies, suppliers, and partners. A great way for you to build confidence and make connections while learning the ropes.
Responsibilities:
Events support:
- Assist in planning, coordinating and delivering a packed calendar of external and internal events, including trade shows, networking events, launches, partner roundtables, webinars, and awards
- Working with the wider Commercial team to deliver pre and post-event communications with partners and stakeholders are actioned in a timely manner
- Owning venue and supplier research, booking, liaison and pre-event logistics
- Work with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure timely delivery of event assets including stand materials, branded giveaways, printed collateral, and digital content
- Participating in and supporting live events – helping with set-up, greeting, breakdown and on-the-day coordination
- Delivering on our event marketing plans, social media coverage and post-event follow-up
Marketing support:
- Own the inbound marketing request channel, working with the wider marketing team to ensure tickets are prioritised and completed on time
- Supporting the wider marketing team across digital, content, campaigns and product marketing collateral
- Creating and updating sales enablement tools such as brochures, data sheets, presentations, and case studies
- Governing marketing asset libraries and ensure brand consistency across all materials
- Performing content uploads, basic edits and updates to the website
- Assisting with social media content creation (video and graphic production, copywriting)
- Helping to track marketing activity and events ROI using basic reporting and analytics
- Monitoring industry trends and competitors to support the development of messaging and positioning
What we’re looking for
We’re not after years of experience – what matters most is attitude. You’ll need to be organised, adaptable, and keen to learn.
Your skills:
- Proven experience in a marketing or events environment (whether through work, study, or internships)
- Proven organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and preferably some exposure to marketing and design tools (e.g. email platforms, CMS, adobe creative suite – even if only basic)
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, events, communication or a related field
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn on the job
Desirable:
- UK driving licence for business travel
- Experience working with a client relationship management tool (CRM) (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Pardot)
- Experience working with a Content management system CMS (e.g. Joomla, WordPress, Drupal)
- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g. Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
- Experience in the fibre, telecoms, or similar technical industries.
- Content creation skills such as photography or video production.
