Senior FP&A Manager
We are seeking a strategic and analytical Senior FP&A Manager to join our Finance team. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes to support strategic decision-making and improve organisational performance. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modelling and reporting experience, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to connect financial data with business performance.

This role would suit a candidate who has worked in a dynamic environment, knows what good budgeting and financial reports look like, and is excited by the opportunity to implement best financial practice in a young in spirit growing business. You’ll be endlessly proactive, anticipating challenges before they arise and always curious to learn more about how we can serve our customers (internal or external) better.
This is a hybrid role with an expectation of attending our Reading office two to three days per week.

1. Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Build and maintain the company-wide budget model, ensuring it is flexible, scalable, and aligned with key business drivers that inform the long-range planning model.
- Lead key components of the annual budgeting process, working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment with business objectives and balanced scorecard.
- Deliver detailed budget reports and insights to department leaders to enable proactive and informed financial management.
2. Forecasting & Variance Analysis
- Own and manage the quarterly forecasting cycles, ensuring projections reflect the latest business developments and are aligned to the strategic priorities.
- Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, providing clear, actionable commentary and insights.
- Present forecasts and analyses to senior leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
3. Financial Reporting, Metrics & Scorecard Tracking
- Lead the delivery of all financial reporting requirements, ensuring reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with stakeholder requirements.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and management reports that monitor performance against KPIs and financial targets to support effective business management. Continuously refine KPIs to ensure they reflect key performance drivers.
- Deliver Balanced Scorecard reporting and performance tracking. Identify causes of underperformance, analyse root causes, and proactively recommend recovery plans or corrective actions.
4. Business Partnering & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a trusted finance partner to budget holders by providing detailed reporting, cost insights, and decision support to drive accountability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with Finance Operations and Financial Control teams to ensure transaction recording and accounting alignment are aligned to the reporting requirements.
- Provide tailored financial insights and planning support to the budget holders.
- Help non-finance stakeholders understand key financial metrics and their impact on business decisions.
5. Financial Modelling & Decision Support
- Build and maintain robust financial models to evaluate business scenarios, financial impact of pricing strategies and investment opportunities.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform business cases to optimise resource allocation.
- Evaluate financial viability, ROI, and risks for new projects and initiatives.
6. Cost Management & Efficiency
- Monitor and analyse cost drivers across the business, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
- Partner with functional teams to develop and implement initiatives that improve financial efficiency, reduce waste, and maximise profitability.
7. Investor Reporting
- Prepare and support the delivery of regular investor reporting, including performance updates, financial metrics, and strategic commentary.
- Respond to investor questions with timely, accurate, and well-supported financial data and analysis.
Support investor discussions with in-depth analysis of forecasts and financial performance drivers.

Possessing extensive experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis, with a proven ability to deliver insightful financial modelling and accurate forecasting; You will be someone who thrives in a setting where you can utilise your business partnering skills, particularly at senior leadership levels to deliver a deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
A background in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments is essential, reflecting your adaptability and strategic mindset.
