AP and AR Analyst

Role Overview:
We’re on the lookout for an AP and AR Analyst to join our growing team. This role combines responsibilities across Accounts Payable and Billing/ Accounts Receivable.
The role requires accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments, while also management of customer billing, reconciliations, and cash collection. The role supports financial integrity across both payables and receivables, contributing to month-end close, system improvements, and audit readiness.

We're looking for someone who brings a thoughtful approach to working with data, using it to support informed decision-making, enhancing operational effectiveness, and contributing to continuous improvement across finance operations.
This is a Hybrid role with an expectation of attending our Reading office 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices and prepare payment runs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Generate and issue customer invoices, reconcile accounts, and resolve discrepancies to protect revenue.
- Maintain vendor and customer records in the ERP system.
- Leverage automation tools and AI-driven insights to streamline invoice processing, enhance billing accuracy, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in finance operations.
- Monitor overdue accounts and support effective cash collection and credit control.
- Assist with month-end close activities including reconciliations, accruals, and revenue deferrals.
- Support system migrations and process improvements across billing and payables.
- Respond to internal and external queries related to payments and billing.
- Document and maintain SOPs for finance operations tasks.
What we’re looking for
Your Skills:
- Proven experience in AP, billing, or credit control roles.
- Confident using accounting software (ideally NetSuite), MS Office and Excel.
- Proven organisation skills, attention to detail and time management.
- Confidence in communicating and managing communication with stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience in Telecoms.
- Experience across multiple revenue channels (e.g. wholesale, B2B).
- Understanding of revenue recognition and accounting principles.
- Experience improving finance processes and controls.
- Experience in fast-paced or scale - up environments
