User Acceptance Lead
The User Acceptance Lead at AllPoints Fibre Networks will own and lead the end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) function across APFN's delivery programmes, ensuring business-critical solutions are thoroughly tested, operationally ready, and fit for purpose before release. This role is responsible for defining UAT strategy, coordinating testing activities, managing stakeholder engagement, and providing assurance that solutions meet business, regulatory, and customer requirements.

What you will be doing:
Own and lead the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) function across APFN delivery programmes and technology initiatives.
Define UAT strategies, test plans, governance frameworks, entry and exit criteria, and testing standards.
Coordinate and oversee UAT execution, balancing hands-on testing activity with leadership and assurance responsibilities.
Manage defect triage, prioritisation, escalation and remediation activities, working closely with delivery and testing teams.
Lead stakeholder engagement across business, operational, delivery and technical teams to ensure solutions meet user and operational requirements.
Produce regular reporting and dashboards providing visibility of testing progress, defects, risks and release readiness.
Act as the key point of accountability for UAT sign-off and release recommendations.
Facilitate defect review sessions, testing workshops, show-and-tell demonstrations and business readiness activities.
Partner closely with Business Change teams and Change Champions to ensure successful adoption and operational readiness.
Support release management activities, including release planning, readiness reviews and deployment coordination when required.
Assist with lower environment management, test data requirements and system change coordination across delivery teams and third-party suppliers.
Drive continuous improvement, championing best practice testing standards and quality assurance maturity across APFN.
About you:
You have proven experience leading User Acceptance Testing activities within complex technology or transformation environments.
You enjoy building trusted relationships and influencing stakeholders across both technical and business functions.
You are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on quality and delivery.
You are comfortable challenging assumptions, identifying risks and driving issues through to resolution.
You have a collaborative mindset and are passionate about delivering solutions that create positive business outcomes.
You bring a continuous improvement approach and enjoy enhancing processes, governance and ways of working.
Your Skills:
Experience within Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing.
Strong experience working with business stakeholders and facilitating testing activities across multiple teams.
Experience using Jira and Confluence for test management, defect tracking and documentation.
Experience testing IT systems, ideally within telecommunications, OSS/BSS or technology-driven environments.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect management and release readiness processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to lead, mentor and influence stakeholders to achieve successful delivery outcomes.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments would be advantageous.
ISTQB, ISEB, ITIL or related industry certifications would be beneficial.
